For the base layer we chose sage for its renown as a general tonic and heal-all. It is burned in Native American ceremonies to cleanse the air of negative energy.

The second layer & ring are made of rosemary - for remembrance. It strengthens the nerves & memory & warms the heart. In ancient Rome, it was considered sacred & thought to bring health & happiness, and in Victorian England was used in weddings as a symbol of fidelity.

The third layer & ring feature the fresh, clean herb lavender which was used in ancient Roman ceremonies for its almost perfect balance of yin & yang creates a sense of balance & timelessness.
